OFFICE FAQ'S
Q: What are your office hours?
A: The clinic is open Monday thru Friday from 9am to 5pm. The phones are on service from 12pm - 2pm. During that time you can leave a general message for the office staff or page Dr. Tran.
Q: What is your refill policy?
A: Refill requests are processed Monday thru Friday. Please allow up to 72 hours for your request to be answered. Please keep in mind that your refills often run out because you are due to be seen by the doctor. When running low on your medication be sure to check the amount of refills left on the bottle. You should contact the office or your pharmacy about refills while you still have enough medication to last you 3-5 days.
Recently the regulations have changed on refilling controlled substances, ex. pain medication, sleeping aids, ADHD medications. Providers are not allowed to issue multiple refills for these prescriptions. Patients will be advised to schedule office visits for refills to be issued. Please schedule appointments in advance to make sure your refill is not delayed.
Q: What should I do if I got to the hospital or skilled nursing facility?
A: If you go to the hospital be sure to advise the attending physician that we are your primary care provider. You or a family member should call our office when you are hospitalized so we can coordinate your care and keep informed on your health condition. Contact as soon as your are discharged to schedule your follow up appointment.
If you are transferred to a skilled nursing facility after your hospitalization it is important that you call and notify our office. For non-HMO patients, we are able to follow you at the skilled nursing home and manage your care. Often times our patients will get transferred to a SNF and may be auto-assigned to a different doctor. Always inform the nursing home that you want Roger Tran to be your attending physician and call our office ASAP.
Q: How do I establish care at your office and request you be assigned as my Primary Care Provider?
A: Please call our office at 949-305-2660 to make an appointment. If your insurance plan is an HMO ex. SCAN, Secure Horizons, One Care through Monarch or other IPA we will need to be assigned as your PCP prior to the appointment. Traditional Medicare does not require a PCP assignment.
We accept most PPO plans; call your insurance to confirm we are in-network for your plan. With recent changes in healthcare some insurance plan packages have limited networks and we may be in-network for some packages and out-of-network on others.
